CERTIFICATION ISO 9001

      ISO 9001 is a model for standardization.

      The objective of the NBR ISO 9001 with the companies is to build up a model of organization management so that work processes are standardized and, therefore, help the organization accomplishing the production and service of products that attend to customers requirements. The objective of a Quality Management System is complementing the requirements of the products and services offered by an organization or company and helping it to become more competitive in both domestic and export markets.

Strawplastt had to follow a few steps and mind a few requirements of the ISO 9001 in order to be certified. Among these requirements we can mention:

• Standardization of all key processes of the business, which affect the final product and consequently the customer / consumer;
• Monitoring and measuring of the manufacturing processes to assure the product’s and service’s quality through performance and detours indicators;
• Establishing and maintaining adequate registers Ito guarantee the traceability of the process;
• Inspecting the quality and appropriate means of corrective actions when necessary;
• Systematically revise the processes and the quality system to guarantee its efficiency.

      Periodically, ISO auditors examine and update its norms to assure the evolution according with the companies’ transformations and the market’s expectations.
In 2008, the NBR went trough small alterations which did not change the contents of the norm, but only elucidated better the existing requirements on ISO 9001:2008 version.

      Today, the ISO 9001:2008 norm has eight topics:

• Product Manufacturing;
• Measuring, Analysis and Improvements.
